Hey, Paul Krugman, your country needs you now
Found this on DKos, and I can't tell you how happy it makes me feel:

Good song. I like the beat.
I'm a Krugman fan (though I sure wouldn't call Geithner a "Turbo Tax" guy). But noting Krugman's Nobel is always a bit dicey, since Milton Friedman won the same prize back in the mid-1970s, and he's the REAL culprit in all this mess!
Why the hell would Krugman want what has got to be the ultimate pinada job in government??? ;-)

Oh, in reality Krugman would be a disaster in a political administration. He's much more useful as an external goad. He cracks me up every time he's on television. He looks like the proverbial deer in the headlights -- half frozen and totally awkward. But -- he knows his stuff and he's not afraid to tell it straight.

Oh, yeah -- one other thing. The Turbo Tax charge is legit. Geithner claimed to have used Turbo Tax for his inventive tax returns at his confirmation hearings. http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2009/01/21/turbotax-responds-to-treasury-nominees-disclosure/
I guess it's like the doctor who treats himself. It won't be a good job. He should have used a good accountant.
