About us

Chiaroscuro and I "met" when I was writing for BOP (the Blogging of the President) News and she was a frequent commenter. We were both supporters of Wes Clark for President (this was in 2004) and found, as time went on, that we had many other things in common — not the least of which are that we're both New Yorkers, and both mothers with active households.After the demise of BOP, I started The Broad View and asked Chiaro to join me in that enterprise. It has been a grand ride.

We live on opposite coasts (she in New York, I in California) and have in fact never met. That omission, however, has in no way been an obstacle to our becoming great friends and eager partners in our new adventure: The Followspot.
